Exceptional instruments and essential accessories for students and advanced players. Odyssey Brasswind instruments and accessories have been painstakingly designed by British Master Craftsman Peter Pollard, one of the most sought after custom brass and woodwind builders in the world to produce instruments of breath-taking quality and supremely useable accessories.

The Baby or Kinder horn (or mini horn) is a single horn (also available in F or Bb) but smaller and designed for younger children.

Brass family  instruments produce their unique sound by the player buzzing his/her lips while blowing air through a cup or funnel shaped mouthpiece. To produce higher or lower pitches, the player adjusts the opening between his/her lips. The brass family can trace its ancestry back to herald French horns, hunting horns, and military bugles. The main instruments of the brass family include the trumpet, trombone, french horn and tuba.

The horn or  French horn  consists of about 12 feet of narrow tubing wound into a circle. The player obtains different notes on the horn with a clear mellow sound by pressing valves with the left hand and by moving the right hand inside of the bell.

Small ‘kinder’ style horns are ideal for the young beginner.

All models in the Odyssey range of high quality brass band and orchestral instruments have been meticulously designed down to the finest details by Peter Pollard. It’s hardly surprising that, with over 50 years experience and having listened to the ‘wants’ of countless high-profile musicians, this master craftsman is one of the most sought after custom brass and woodwind builders in the world.

The attractive price tagand the bore size (12.1mm/0.47" diameter)polished brass body, Rose brass bell (152mm/6" diameter) and leadpipe, as well as the bell ring adding depth and good tone, are just a few of the features that have made the exquisite Odyssey Premiere 'Bb' Baby French Horn a favourite with musicians around the world.

The bore size alone combines the best of projection volume and air flow, delivering an abundance of signature french horn sounds with exceptional tonal qualities. but it’s also the performance to cost ratio that makes this beautiful Bb Baby French Horn a winner.

The response, intonation and all around performance of the Odyssey Premiere 'Bb' Baby French Horn, coupled with the high quality materials, make this an ideal instrument for the first time player or teacher.

The bonus of being in Bb means that any Bb music can be used with this instrument. Playing along with Trumpets, Clarinets etc.

As a company producing some of the world’s finest brasswind instruments, Odyssey recognise the fact that protection whilst travelling with a delicate instrument is paramount. To ensure players can maintain a high standard with this instrument, Odyssey has included gloves and a cleaning cloth, whilst a plush lined, Zero-gravity ‘backpack’ hard foam, canvas covered case with shoulder straps takes all the worry out of commuting with such a delicate instrument

The fact that the Odyssey Premiere 'Bb' Baby French Horn has a removeable bell so that it fits snuggly into its case is a big plus, and makes the case a whole lot smaller.
