I recently came across this video demo that we did in the shop with a Malmsteen Strat.... it really brought home the difference the player of a guitar makes...more so than the guitar itself!

So what we have is a Fender Malmsteen Stratocaster played by two very different players...one is a purveyor of jangly chords..the other (me lol) prefers the faster, rockier stuff! We're both using the same guitar, same amp and the only difference is the player...have a look/listen below...

I've used this example a lot when people has said to me that they want to buy a certain guitar to sound a certain way.....whilst it does make a difference...the player makes the biggest difference!
