Now it will come as no surprise to some of you that i love 80's superstrats :-) Jacksons, Kramers, Charvels i love them all.....
Now, i'm old enough to remember when everyone loved these amazing guitars....the build quality was superb, pickups were immense and the tremolos stayed in tune like nobody's business! This was a time when you couldn't even give away a Les Paul or a Strat....they just weren't in demand....instead everyone wanted the latest hot-rodded superstrat ion the craziest colour they could find... ( I have to be honest i did own a bubblegum pink Charvel for many many years...)
Nowadays these guitars are viewed as dinosaurs...a relic from a time best forgotten... but if you're willing to overlook the obvious fashion faux-pas you can get yourself a USA built guitar with an original Floyd Rose and Duncan or Dimarzio pickups for mexican strat money!
I think i'm going to keep being unfashionable and looking out for these amazing instruments and if you get the chance to you should too! :-)
